A report reaching BICOLSTANDARD.PH this afternoon said that Gov. Tallado has invited the media to a press conference tomorrow in this town to answer questions regarding the incident.

Tallado confirmed that neither his wife nor Francisco returned home.

On his Facebook account, the governor has posted "PLEASE HELP," "MRS. JOSIE TALLADO AND DARLENE FRANCISCO STILL MISSING."

Mrs. Josefina “Josie” Tallado was last seen together with her friend, Darlene Francisco, driving a Toyota Fortuner at Vinzons, at around 2:10 p.m. last Saturday. They were heading towards the direction of Barangay 3, Vinzons town.

Mrs. Tallado is believed to be the one who drove the service vehicle.

Police reports also reveal that Mrs. Tallado, who was originally accompanied by PO1 Michael Lubiano y Cabines, told the police officer to wait for her in the same place at 7:00 p.m.

PO3 Lubiano said that he followed the instruction of Mrs. Tallado.

When Mrs. Tallado failed to return, however, Lubiano tried calling the aide, Darlene Francisco.

Francisco did not pick up.

At around 6:00 a.m. on October 18, he continued to try calling Francisco, but she still would not answer the phone.

Meanwhile, at around 9:00 a.m. on October 18, Lubiano said that PO3 Francisco Asuncio informed him that the Toyota Fortuner that was driven by Mrs. Tallado was found along the Maharlika Highway at Barangay Napolidan, Lupi, Camarines Sur.

Mrs. Tallado and Darlene Francisco were not in the SUV.

The black Toyota Fortuner vehicle’s Plate No. is PRI 744, registered under the name of Josefina Tallado y Baning of No. 53 Horeshoe Drive, Horsehoe Village, Quezon City.

The vehicle was recovered by Sonnyboy Cepede y Pabit, 33 years old of Sitio trespassing, Napolidan.

Police investigators from the town of Lupi said they found three matchsticks inside the car, a pillow soaked with crude oil, and a partly-burned umbrella.

The investigators are looking at the different angles of the incident, but would not reveal any information as of press time.—BICOLSTANDARD.PH
