12 Bicolanos among LET topnotchers

(UPDATED) NAGA CITY --12 Bicolanos  made it in the list of topnotchers of the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for the secondary and elementary levels.


SECONDARY LEVEL

Alvin Llaguno Naag of Daraga Community College scored 89% in the exam, placing him in the 6th spot.

Sharing the 8th place, meanwhile, are Ena Marie Magallanes Sarmiento of Catanduanes State University and Tessa Nickaela San Felipe Noora of Ateneo de Naga University. Both Sarmiento and Noora scored 88.2% in the exam.

ELEMENTARY LEVEL 

Sharmae Velasco Tuibeo of Catanduanes State University- Virac, who ranked fifth, secured the highest place among the Bicolanos. She scored 88.40 %.

Occupying the seventh place is Jeera Belarmino delos Angeles of Ateneo de Naga University who got 88.20%.

Three Bicolanos shared the ninth spot. They include: Michelle Villar Malapo of Bicol University-Polangui, Criscel Par Mostaza of Bicol University-Daraga , and Adeleine Valencia Rubio of Catanduanes State University-Virac. They scored 87.60%.

Meanwhile, four examinees from Bicol placed 10. They are: Gellie Ann Solares Lomaad of Ateneo de Naga University, Patrick Daclan Nicolas of Sorsogon State College-Sorsogon, Catherine Burton Sales of Bicol University-Daraga and Charmaine Sesno Talagtag of Bicol Univesity-Daraga. They obtained a rating of 87.40%.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT), 25,301 elementary teachers out of 70,786 examinees (35.74%) and 26,767 secondary teachers out of 77,803 examinees (34.40%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last August 17, 2014 in Hong Kong and 24 testing centers all over the Philippines.
