219 in Bicol still in evacuation centers due to 'Mario'

MANILA--The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) today announced that 219 persons from the Bicol region are still living in government-operated evacuation centers due to tropical storm Mario.

They were displaced by floods and inclement weather last September 19, when Mario hit the region.

Meanwhile, Central Luzon has 76,658 evacuees, Calabarzon has 45,860, Ilocos Region has 3,618, CAR has 101, Metro Manila has 79, and Mimaropa has 15.

Mario affected a total of 1,160,050 people or 285,976 families across nine regions.--With report from PNA/BICOLSTANDARD.COM
