Already, there are an addition 600 members of the PNP who have been deployed in the area, on top of the 400-plus officers who are assigned in the Naga City Police Office, Escobal said.

As of 11:00 AM, the composite team of peace officers are at their designated assignments throughout the city of Naga.

Public Safety Office employees and barangay tanods are now posted at strategic locations.

Meanwhile, police cars and ambulances are now parked major streets to provide assistance to devotees.

Apart from ground security, aerial support with the use of a helicopter is available.

For this week, more than a million people are expected to visit Naga City for the fiesta.

In spite of the augmentation forces, Escobal still reminded the public to be vigilant in safeguarding their personal belongings, as it is expected that pickpockets and people with criminal minds will also be around.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM Bicol News
