Gumalaw, Gumanda, Gumwapo: Albay dances its way to health

LEGAZPI CITY--In line with its aggressive stance to promote a healthy lifestyle, the Provincial Government of Albay has stepped up its campaign to promote good health with its officials and employees coming up with a healthy lifestyle promotion advocacy program which includes a variety of different health services and activities.

The program, to be conducted by the Provincial Health Office, offers three services and activities that are designed to develop and encourage good health in various aspects of the human body.

One such activity is the Dance Exercise Program, also called as 3Gs for Gumalaw, Gumanda, Gumwapo, which will be held every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon at the Penaranda Park and led by the APHO Hataw Team.

The APHO will also be conducting monthly diet counseling with a nutritionist-dietician every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at the Capitol Lobby.

For officials and employees looking for medical, dental and skin clinic services, they may proceed to the Albay Health and Skin Clinic at Rizal Street, Legazpi City.

Medical and skin clinic services are available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, while dental services are available on Wednesdays and Fridays at the same hours.

In a memo, Governor Joey Sarte Salceda enjoined all of the officials and employees of the PGA to avail the said services and participate in the activities to be able to enjoy the many benefits that the programs will surely provide. (PIO-Albay)
