Polish national robbed in Masbate City

MASBATE CITY – A Polish national, identified as Pawel Andrzel Pawlus, 37 years old, of Miasco, Poland, who is temporarily residing at Barangay Nursery here, complained to the police that an unidentified person robbed and mauled him yesterday.

In his complaint, he told the investigators that while he was inside an establishment drinking liquor, a man he did not know approached him and offered a girl to be his companion for a date.

After several minutes of conversation and price bargaining, he asked the unidentified person to reduce his asking price for the girl.

It did not take long for him to bargain for an even cheaper price. Upon agreement, they decided to proceed to the rented house of the Polish national, together with the girl.

The investigation report says that they boarded a Toyota Hilux vehicle bearing plate No. YB5989, going to the direction of Monte Carlo Subdivision at Barangay Nursery where the Polish National resides.
Upon reaching his apartment, Pawlus did not notice that the unidentified suspect sneaked to the rear portion of the vehicle and got hold of an empty bottle of liquor, which the suspect later used to arm himself.

While they were in front of the apartment, he called for the security guard to open the front gate.
The suspect punched Pawlus repeatedly, took away his mobile phone, and ran away.

When he tried to recover his cellphone , the suspect hit him again on the face with the liquor bottle
Injured, the victim was unable to catch up with the robber who escaped with the girl into a mangrove area.
The victim was later brought to the Provincial Health Office for medical treatment.

At press time, the investigators are still gathering more information to establish the identity of the suspect. –BICOLSTANDARD.COM
