Balatan PNP confiscates illegal firearms, drugs from suspect

BALATAN, CAMARINES SUR —Police here arrested a person suspected to have violated Republic Acts 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) at around 7:30 in the morning today.

The suspect, Isaac Bernaldez Togado, was nabbed by a team composed of detectives of the Regional Investion and Detection Unit Manhunt (RCIDU) Regional Office 5 led by PCInsp Errol Garchitorena and PSIns Marvin C. Pedere, and members of Balatan Municipal Police Station led by PSI Gary DV. Mangente and the Regional Public Safety Battalion Regional Office 5.

The operation resulted to the confiscation of one caliber .45 pistol, one caliber .22 lugger, one stratec KG9 submachine pistol, assorted ammuniton, five heat-sealed packets containg a substance suspected to be metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, and other drug paraphernalia.

Appropriate cases for the violation of the aforementioned laws are now being prepared for filing, the police said.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
