Whirlwind destroys public buildings in Tinambac

TINAMBAC, CAMARINES SUR—As typhoon Glenda intensifies, a whirlwind was reported to have wrecked a barangay center, several elementary school buildings and houses in Barangay Canayunan at around 11 AM in this town.


The report was relayed to BICOL STANDARD by Police Inspector Greg Bascuña of Tinambac Municipal Police Station.

A rescue team composed of members of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army, are scheduled to visit the affected area, Bascuña revealed.

No deaths due to the whirlwind were reported. The cost of the damages also remains undetermined as of press time.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
