Weather Update: Tropical Storm Glenda

TROPICAL CYCLONE ALERT: TROPICAL STORM "GLENDA" (RAMMASUN)

The tropical storm East of Bicol region is about to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and will be named “Glenda”.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.

Location of Center: (as of 6:00 p.m.) 1,100 km East of Legaspi City

Coordinates: 13.1°N, 135.1°E

Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Movement: Forecast to move West at 30 kph.

Forecast Positions/Outlook: Monday afternoon: 570 km East of Legaspi City; Tuesday afternoon:

170 km Northeast of Legaspi City or 100 km East of Virac, Catanduanes;Wednesday afternoon: It is expected to be in the vicinity of Cabanatuan City

No Public Storm Warning Signal

Tropical Storm “GLENDA” will not yet affect any part of the country. - PAGASA
