Ex-Army soldier shot dead in Sorsogon City

SORSOGON CITY—A former member of the Philippine Army was gunned down by around seven persons whose names have not been identified by the authorities.

The shooting incident happened at around 7:30 PM at Barangay Marinas, East District, this city last Friday, July 25.

The victim, Jayson Palcon Lomeda, 25, married, and a resident of said barangay, was shot to death outside his residence, according to the police. The suspects, the police added, were all armed with long firearms.

The victim was brought to San Antonio Funeral Parlor in Gubat, Sorsogon for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the police are conducting a follow-up investigation on the incident.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
