(UPDATED) Bicol still isolated from power grid- NGCP

Bicol region remains separated from the grid due to the outage of the Tayabas-Naga 230-kilovolts (kV) line and the Gumaca-Labo 230-kV line.

In its 11:00 am update today, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced that the following transmission lines and facilities were affected by typhoon Glenda:

Customer Affected: BATELEC I

3. Facility: Bay – Los Banos 69-kV Line
Customer Affected: ERDB/FPRDI & UPLB

4. Facility: Naga – Libmanan 69-kV Line
Customer Affected: CASURECO I

5. Facility: Naga – Lagonoy 69-kV Line
Customer Affected: CASURECO II, CASURECO IV, Partido Rice Mill

6. Facility: Naga – Iriga 69-kV Line
Customer Affected: CASURECO III

7. Facility: Bay – Calamba 69-kV Line
Customer Affected: MECO, BATELEC

8. Facility: Gumaca – Hondagua – Tagkawayan 69-kV line
Customer/s Affected: QUEZELCO I

9. Facility: Famy - Infanta 69-kV line
Customer/s Affected: QUEZELCO II

All 69kV lines in Sorsogon and Calaca-Taal line are still out.

The following facilities were likewise affected:

*No power flow from Luzon to Visayas
2. Dasma – Ilijan 500-kV Line
3. San Jose – Tayabas 500-kV Line 1
4. Tayabas – Ilijan 500-kV Line
5. Tayabas-Naga 230-kV Line
6. Gumaca-Labo 230-kV Line
7. Daraga – Bacman 230-kV Line
8. Labo – Naga 230-kV Line
9. Naga – Daraga 230-kV Line
10. Naga – Tiwi 230-kV Line
11. Daraga – Tiwi 230-kV Line

12. Gumaca – Kalayaan 230-kV Line
13. Tayabas – Pagbilao 230-kV Line
14. Binan – Sucat 230-kV Line
15. Calaca – Amadeo 230-kV Line
16. Dasmarinas – Rosario/Abubot 115-kV Line

Bicol region is isolated from the grid due to the outage of the abovementioned 230-kV lines.

In a press conference held at midday today, NGCP disclosed that it is aiming for the restoration of the backbone lines by July 19. It hopes that its 69kv lines will be fully restored within 2 weeks.
