3 students arrested in Cam Sur for hazing

CANAMAN, CAMARINES SUR—Three students, all minors, were arrested yesterday morning at Barangay Sta. Cruz here for violation of violation of Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law.

Two of the suspects were 16 years old, while one was 17.

The arrest was conducted by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Erwin Virgilio P. Ferrer, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 20, Naga City, for violation of Section 4 (g) of Republic Act 8049, with Criminal Case No. RTC-2013-0687.

The recommended bail was P12,000 each, the police said.

The minors were brought to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) office at Del Rosario, Naga City, by virtue of a commitment order.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
