3 cousins drown in Tinambac

TINAMBAC, CAMARINES SUR—The Himoragat River in Barangay Binalay claimed the lives of three cousins who spent yesterday afternoon swimming.

The victims, Abegail Alilano y Barnedo, 18 years old, single; Alvin Alilano y Barnedo, 10 years old, minor; both residents of Brgy Taytay, Goa, Camarines Sur; and Jaslyn Alilano y Magatao, 20 years old, single of Brittany Homes, San Isidro, Antipolo City, were reportedly drowned due to the strong current.

They were brought to the Tinambac Infirmary Hospital by some residents of Barangay Binalay, but were pronounced Dead on Arrival.

As part of the investigation, the Tinambac Municipal Police Station requested for the victims’ bodies to be autopsied. However, the parents refused the examination as they believe that the deaths of the victims was purely accidental.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
