(UPDATED) New Naga COP eyes 'inside job' in holdup incident

NAGA CITY--Just hours after his assumption as the new OIC City Director of the Naga City Police Office, Police Senior Supt. Filmore Escobal already took part in an investigation of a holdup incident that is believed to be an inside job.

Money recovered from one of the employees of KLT Trading (PHOTO BY OSCAR ESMENDA/BICOL STANDARD)
Initial reports reveal that KLT Trading, a distributor of grocery items and other merchandise, had been said to be the victim of repeated holdup incidents over the past few months.

Last night at around 9 o'clock, another holdup incident involving the establishment was reported.

During the investigation, the new Naga City Chief of Police requested for a re-enactment of the incident.

Suspicions of an inside job arose when the employees of the establishment gave purportedly conflicting accounts of the holdup.

When the employees were frisked, it was allegedly discovered that the P30,000 that was reported missing was right inside their pockets.

Said investigation is expected to put an end to the repeated reports of holdup to which the employees claimed to have fallen victim.--BICOLSTANDARD.COM
