On her Instagram account, Santiago gushed: "That feeling when a street is named after you? Yup i know that feeling too. Overwhelming feeling."

Fans and followers were quick to congratulate the beauty queen on the development.

In the comments section, Bea further explained that her actual name was not used because " apparently u have to be dead para actual name mo. I guess when i pass away they will replace it."

Santiago was referring to Republic Act No. 1059, which prohibits the naming of sitios, barrios, municipalities, cities, provinces, streets, highways, avenues, bridges, and other public thoroughfares, parks, plazas, public schools, public buildings, piers, government crafts and vessels, and other public institutions and places after living persons.--BICOLSTANDARD.COM
