In view of the report and findings of the Food and Drug Administration, the public is hereby warned on the following cooking oil and sugar products being repacked and distributed by Authority Trading Corp. (ATC) in Valenzuela City:

Lucky Light Washed Sugar, ¼kg.
Lucky Light Refined Sugar, ¼ kg.

5 Pinya Raw Sugar, ¼ kg.
5 Pinya Raw Sugar, ½ kg.
Jumbo Savings Pure Cooking Oil, 314 grams
ATC Lucky Light Cooking Oil
ATC Aflower Light Cooking Oil
Daylee Pure Vegetable Cooking Oil

Result of investigation showed that the company does not have a valid License to Operate (LTO) as food repacker and all products do not have Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) from this Office, a violation to RA 9711 (Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009) and RA 10611 (Food Safety Act of 2013).

During inspection, critical and major violations on good manufacturing practice in the repacking facility were noted, which indicate that there is no assurance that the products being repacked are of good quality. The products also violate AO 88-B s. 1984 (The Rules and Regulations Governing the Labeling of Prepackaged Food Products Distributed in the Philippines) since these do not bear all mandatory information on the labels.

All distributors, traders, grocery stores and retailers are hereby ordered to discontinue the selling, distribution, and offering for sale to the consumers of all aforementioned products. All consumers are also advised not to purchase or use any product being repacked and distributed by Authority Trading Corp.

All FDA Field Regulatory Officers and Regulatory Enforcement agents are hereby ordered to confiscate and hold in custody the said products found in the market. All local government units and law enforcement agencies are requested to ensure that these products are not sold or offered for sale in their localities or area of jurisdiction.

The public may send queries and their concerns to FDA's official email address. info@fda.gov.ph.
