Fire razes duplex in Ragay

RAGAY, CAMARINES SUR--A duplex building was burned to the ground at around 12:33 PM at Brgy. Poblacion Ilaod in this town yesterday.

Ragay, Camarines Sur
The building was occupied by two persons: Felipe Martinez, who used it as a billiard hall and Roland Padrigon, who ran a bakery in the same structure.

The initial investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reveals that the possible cause of the fire is a leak at the LPG hose at the bakery's oven.

The fire ignited the wall serving as a partition, allowing the blaze to spread to the adjacent rooms, which were mostly made of light materials.

The BFP estimated the damage to be around Php 400, 000.00.

Meanwhile, BFP volunteer Baduria Patrovas, who was among those who responded to the incident, sustained injuries. Patrovas was rushed to the Ragay District Hospital for medical treatment.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
