Secretary of Labor and Employment Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz announced yesterday that on April 21-22, a job fair is scheduled in Daet, Camarines Norte, in conjunction with the Bantayog Festival. On April 21, another is slated at LGU Bulusan, Sorsogon. Lastly, on April 22, one will be held at the Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City during the Daragang Magayon Festival.

Apart from these, job fairs in other parts of the country will be conducted throughout the months of April, May and June. In fact, before and after Labor Day on May 1, there are roughly 150 job fairs scheduled by the government agency.

Baldoz said that these job fairs are conducted to provide prospective employees with job opportunities to ensure that the jobs match the skills set of the jobseekers.

Meanwhile, Baldoz earlier reminded jobseekers that those who prefer to look for jobs online may visit the PHIL-JobNet website, the official job portal of the Philippine government. In said facility, jobs are categorized by job classification and by area.

For instance, among the jobs on offer at PHIL-JobNet for the Bicol region are for finance managers, office clerks, sales managers, travel attendants, delivery drivers, and service crew.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
