5 killed in Cubao-Tabaco bus, truck crash

LIBMANAN, CAMARINES SUR—Five persons were killed in the collision of a bus and a truck along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Bikal in this town at around 4:30 in the morning.

 Involved in the accident were an A. Bragais Liner Truck from Cubao, Quezon City heading to Tabaco City, and an Isuzu truck that was parked along said highway.

The victims were identified as Alexander Belen of Bacacay Albay, Arnel Daguyo, his 2-year-old son Kevin Daguyo, Jason Bonita of Tabaco, Albay and Cindy Garcia.

They are currently at Barangay Atienza Homes in Libmanan.

Meanwhile, 15 other passengers, including driver Joey Bermas y Budica, are undergoing observation at the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City for possible injuries.
