Castillo is new Catanduanes police chief

Turnover of office ceremony of Catanduanes Provincial Police Office
SSupt. Adelio Benjamin G. Castillo has been formally installed by PNP Bicol Regional Director CSupt. Victor Pelota Deona as the new chief of the Catanduanes Provincial Police Office (CATPPO).

Castillo replaced SSupt. Eduardo Chavez.

Castillo was formerly assigned at PNP National Headquarters at Camp Crame as chief of the UN Peacekeeping Operation Directorate. He graduated from the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in 1988. Although originally from Baguio City, his first assignment after graduating from the Academy was at Camp Simeon Ola in Albay. It was there that he married a Bicolana and settled at Legazpi City.

Castillo said in his message that he hopes for Catanduanes to be the best provincial police station in the country. He also noted that he wanted the station to prevent and suppress crime, and sustain and enhance the PNP's current activities.
