Bautista is the driver of the tricyle which Bigayan boarded on March 30, 2014, while on her way to barangay Calauag. Bigayan either leapt or was pushed out of the vehicle, authorities say, although it it still unclear what happened inside the vehicle.

After sustaining multiple injuries, Bigayan died in the hospital three days later.

In an interview this morning, PO3 Victor Bino said that the result of their investigation was supported by at least three witnesses who corroborated the statements that led to the filing of the complaint.

Bino said that they will review the CCTV recording which could add more information about the death of Bigayan.

At present, the Office of the City Prosecutor has to determine whether there is probable cause which would warrant the filing of the information.

It will be recalled that this morning, Mayor John Bongat of this city informed Bigayan’s relatives that the City Government had conducted a thorough investigation on the matter.

Meanwhile, on social media, a clamor for justice stil reverberates, particularly among residents of Nabua, where Bigayan traces her roots.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
