Sorsogon bags 18 gold medals in PRISAA games

The Sorsogon delegation garnered 18 gold medals, 14 silvers, and 39 bronzes in the recently-concluded Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) regional games held in Daet, Camarines Norte.

Mark Endaya of Saint Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon brought home four gold medals for the 100-meter dash, as well as the 200-, 400-, and 4x100-relay.

Ariz Gile of Computer Communication Development Institute, meanwhile, displayed outstanding performance in the taekwondo heavyweight division against his opponent from Albay.

Endaya and Gile will represent Bicol in the PRISAA National Games in Tagum City, Davao del Norte this April.

In an interview, PRISAA Provincial President Ed Balasta announced that he is looking forward to a more active participation of Sorsogon in the PRISAA Games, especially next year, when Sorsogon City is slated to host the sporting event. (With report from PIA)
