Village officials oppose illegal quarrying in Sorsogon City

Barangay officials of San Juan have voiced out their strong opposition to the illegal quarrying activities in San Juan River. These photos show the stockpiling of gravel, sand and boulders, which is due to said quarrying. Said officials maintain that this activity has resulted to erosion and flooding, and has already affected the livelihood of farmers in the area. (With report and photos from PIA)
