BREAKING: PNP Bicol Director Deona leads investigation group at Caramoan massacre site

CAMARINES SUR—Bicol Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Director Victor Deona is now on-site at Lahuy Island, Barangay Gata, Caramoan, investigating the cold-blooded massacre that took the life of four gold panners.

The victims, July Labiano, Rene Labiano, Reden Brondia and Salem Virtuz, were massacred Saturday evening by alleged elements of Task Force Sagip Kalikasan of the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur. Said victims bore gunshot wounds on the head, eyes, and chest area.

RD Deona is accompanied by Atty. Tomas Enrile of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Regional Office in Naga City. Members of the local media are also present to gather vital information relative to the criminal incident.

Just now, a report that filtered to BICOL STANDARD that says TF Sagip Kalikasan members who were assigned in the area already abandoned the mining site since the massacre.

A backhoe, allegedly owned by the officials working for the Provincial Capitol, has been spotted in the mining area.
