Ex-Phil Army sergeant cuffed in Naga for murder

NAGA CITY—A former sergeant of the Philippine army was captured in a joint operation of the Libmanan Municipal Police Station and Naga City Police Office yesterday in this city.

The arrest occurred at around 10:30 in the morning at Zone 5, Igualdad St., Naga City.

Mario Casim y Aborquez, 51 years old, widower, and a resident of Sitio Madbad, Barangay Umalo, Libmanan was collared by the authorities by virtue of a warrant of arrest for two counts of murder.

Said warrant was issued by RTC Branch 29 of Libmanan, Camarines Sur on June 24, 2013.

Following the arrest, the suspect was brought to the Libmanan Rural Health Unit for medical assistance.

The suspect was number two in the list of the municipality's most wanted persons.
