CANORECO Board slams NEA-designated project supervisor

DAET, CAMARINES NORTE—The Board of Directors of Camarines Norte Electric Cooperative (CANORECO) vehemently objected to the designation of the National Electrification Administration of a new Project Supervisor in said distribution facility.

Engr. Wilfredo O. Bucsit, according to the NEA Office Order No. 2014-0150, is tasked with the following functions: (1) to oversee the operations and management of CANORECO to ensure the efficient delivery of electric service to member-consumers; (2) to act on all Board Resolutions consistent with NEA policies, rules and regulations; (3) to countersign checks, withdrawal slips, and other banking transactions; and (4) perform other tasks that may be assigned for the purpose of operational efficiency.

The order is signed by NEA National Administrator Edita S. Bueno. It became effective last March 10, 2014.

As this developed, insiders from CANORECO say that the incumbent board will seek judicial intervention for the issuance of a restraining order against the implementation of the NEA order designating a project supervisor.
