3 Bicolanos top 2014 PNPA grads

Three Bicolanos are graduating at the top of the Philippine National Police Academy Mandilaab Class of 2014.

Apart from Police Cadet Glenn Tabo Santelices, a Catandunganon who is the valedictorian at the Philippine National Police Academy, two other Bicolanos will be awarded at today's 35th commencement exercises.

Cadet Jayson Rey Sadueste Florin from Polangui, Albay ranked number eight in the class, while Cadet Mateo Arranguez Maloon from Catangan, Masbate will receive the PNPA Director Leadership Kampilan award.

Santelices, Florin, and Maloon will join the 202 graduating cadets who will soon join the ranks of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, or Bureau of Fire Protection.

Gracing the event with their presence are President Benigno Aquino III, PNP Chief Alan Purisima, PNPA Director Police Chief Supt. Noel Constatino, OIC Jail Supt. Diony Mamaril, and OIC of BFP Fire Chief Supt. Carlito Romero.

Earlier, Aquino urged the graduates to fulfill their duties well and put the people's best interest at hand in connection with the maintenance of law and order in the country.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
