April 3 is Albay Day

April 3 has been declared a special non-working day in the province of Albay by virtue of Proclamation No. 731.

According to the proclamation, which was signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr, by authority of President Benigno S. Aquino III, “it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Albay be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.”

Albay celebrates the  440th anniversary of the province on April 3.
