Initial reports gathered by BICOL STANDARD indicate that the suspect surrendered to the authorities yesterday.

The Sorsogon City PNP is still preparing an official report on the matter as of the time of this writing.

Diesta's family is said to have been under a lot of pressure from the locals, as outrage over the killing of the Saint Louise de Marillac College student erupted over the weekend.

Reportedly, local officials from Sorsogon City appealed to Diesta's relatives to convince them to surrender the suspect.

Meanwhile, Artita's parents, in a statement this morning, expressed their relief over the surrender of the suspect.
