This initiative from the city government and the Public Safety Office seeks to regulate the operation of tricycles that are entering the city, particularly those from nearby towns, which enter the city without the required franchise.

It has been observed that the streets of Naga are already crowded with tricycles.

Under the law, tricycles are only authorized to ply secondary streets, and not highways.

Recently, many of said vehicles had been noted to be violating said law, which puts the tricycle driver and passenger under risk. (With report from Ron-Ron Enon and Oscar Esmenda)
