Yesterday, de Leon already filed complaints against the suspect in the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

A complaint for the violation of Article II, Section 6 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) was filed against Jaime "Jing" Aberos, the caretaker of the house believed to be used as a drug den.

Section 6 penalizes "any person or group of persons who shall maintain a den, dive or resort where any dangerous drug is used or sold in any form."

A separate complaint for the violation of Article II, Section 7 of the same Republic Act, was also filed against the seven suspects.

Section 7 penalizes "(a) Any employee of a den, dive or resort, who is aware of the nature of the place as such; and (b) Any person who, not being included in the provisions of the next preceding, paragraph, is aware of the nature of the place as such and shall knowingly visit the same."

Said complaint was filed against Jing Aberos, Herwin "Bilog" Agawa y Begino, Mark Mondoniedo y Asido, Anthony Encilla y Fernandez, Christine Avengoza y Marquez, Angeline Tuazon y Cortez and Analyn Otig y Pellosis.

The third complaint, which was filed against the same seven suspects, is for the violation of Article II, Section 15. Said section imposes a penalty on "a person apprehended or arrested, who is found to be positive for use of any dangerous drug."

Another complaint for the violation of Article II, Section 11, was likewise filed against Jing Aberos, and siblings King Aberos, and Kalentong Aberos. Section 11 imposes a penalty on "any person, who, unless authorized by law, shall possess any dangerous drug" in quantities specified by the same law.

King Aberos and Kalentong Aberos are still at large, according to de Leon.

It will be recalled that the drug den was raided last February 19, by force of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Pablo C. Formaran III of the Regional Trial Court in Naga City. (With report from Oscar Esmenda)
