Bicol book fair to feature 500+ titles

At least five hundred titles by Bicolano authors or about the Bicol region will be available at this weekend's Aklat Ani sa Legazpi book fair at the Museum of Legazpi.

The book fair, which will be open between 9 AM to 7 PM from today until tomorrow, aims to promote the habit of reading literature written by local authors.

Among the books which will be available are: Tinarakol by Luis Cabalquinto, An Burak Nasa Puso by G.B. Calleja, An Profeta by Khalil Gibran, translated by W. J. S. Tria, Crumbs V by Jose C. Sorra, Pasyon Bikol by T. Hernandez, Toob by Juan Rafael Belgica, Ibalong by Merito Espinas, Katcher nin Buray by Mon Suanoy, The Other View 3 by Elmer A. Ordonez, Bikol Diksyunaryo by Jerry E. Adrados, and Archeology and Emerging Kabikolan by A. Malaya M. Ragragio.

A poetry reading along with a singing of original songs in Bicol by ABKAT and Arnold Logoc will also take place.

This is the ninth year that the annual book fair will be held.
