Village chief dies in road mishap


CLAVERIA, MASBATE — A barangay captain died while her husband was critically injured when the motorcycle that they were riding rammed into another motorcycle in the intersection of Del Rosario Street and San Fernando Street in barangay Poblacion 2 in this town at around 12:15 p.m. last week.

The village chief, Arlene Amado of barangay Imelda in this town, was declared dead on arrival at Claveria District Hospital, where she was rushed.

Her husband, Jay Amado, along with Jeremy Capinig, the 15-year-old driver of the other motorcycle, were seriously injured.
