Among the sports events in which the delegation will be competing during the Palarong Bikol are arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball, baseball, chess, gymnastics, football, swimming, softball, sipa, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, tennis, and sepak takraw.
The Palarong Bikol this year will be held in Virac, Catanduanes on February 2 to 7.
Heading the Executive Committee for the Comprehensive Training is Emma Cornejo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent as the Overall Chairman. Joining her are Dolores Q. Mapusao, Asst. Schools Division Superintendent as Assistant Overall Chairman and Ernani Suron, NCSB Administrator as the Co-Assistant Over-All Chairman (Finance Committee).
Meanwhile, the technical and training staff is composed of Francisco I. Damasig, Principal, as DepEd Sports Coordinator; Arnel Labrador, Francis Justine Barja, and Ricardo S. Francisco, Div. Physical Facilities Coodinators as LGU Sports Coordinators; and Gariel E. David, Member, Billeting Committee. Principals from the Division of Naga City will likewise be serving as committee heads, among which are Adelina Denido, Principal, CGES, Food Committee; Hazel Sumpay, Chairman, Medical Services; Frederick Baldoza, Principal, JBMES, Security Committee; and Noel Caraballo, Principal, VCES, Screening Committee. The other members include Rogelio Osila, Member, Screening Committee; Gina Deniega, Member, Screening/Secretariat Committee; and Ana Marion Palacio, Member, Screening/Secretariat Committee.
For the training of the athletes, Elvin Monroy and Oscar Chavez were assigned as training/competition directors; Ricardo Grado, trainer for athletics; Jocelyn Bangate, trainer for badminton; Jil Buena, trainer for basketball; Walter Ragragio, trainer for football; Edna Rustia, trainer for gymnastics; Imel Sta. Romana, trainer for table tennis; John Floro Chavez, trainer for softball/baseball; Homer Celeste, trainer for taekwondo; Ma. Leslie MaƱago, trainer for taekwondo; Manuel Daluro, trainer for sepak takraw; and Orencio Chavez, trainer for swimming. Completing the staff are Elpedio Recon, equipment; Ricardo Febres, Dante Deleon, and Artemio Idian as support staff.
The Naga City delegation will leave for Virac, Catanduanes on January 26.
