At least 100 angry member consumers of ALECO stormed the electric cooperative office this afternoon. The group, which was carrying placards, vehemently objects to the impending takeover of San Miguel Energy Corporation (SMEC).

Pastor Dan Balusio, who is alleged to be one of the leaders of the group, said that similar incidents would still happen in the succeeding days if no explanation is made regarding the contract that was entered into between ALECO and SMEC.

They believe that under the present situation, member consumers will be at a great disadvantage.
Meanwhile, the National Grip Corporation of the Philippines announced that it will cut off the power supply in Albay if ALECO fails to settle its outstanding bill of P99 million.
